Strategic Alliance for Health
The Strategic Alliance for Health is a County Health Department initiative supported by the Federal and New York State governments to promote better health and prevent chronic disease in the City of Middletown through collaboration among health care, education, business, faith-based and other community leaders.
The goal of the Strategic Alliance for Health is to make changes that will help achieve national “Healthy People 2020” objectives (like improving access to healthcare, reducing the number of newly diagnosed cases of diabetes, and increasing the proportion of adults and children who are at a healthy weight ).
The Strategic Alliance for Health initiative utilizes a model focused on policy, system, and environmental (PSE) changes.
