FFY 2017-2021 Transportation Improvement Program/Air Quality Conformity Determination for PM2.5
June 29, 2016 through July 29, 2016

The Orange County Transportation Council (OCTC) will consider taking action regarding the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Federal Fiscal Years (FFY) 2017-2021 and the Air Quality Conformity Determination for PM2.5 at the OCTC Policy Committee meeting on August 2, 2016 at 1:00pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 33 Airport Center Drive, New Windsor. These materials, which are linked below, will be available for public review from June 29th through July 29th.

The draft FFY 2017-2021 TIP is a multi-modal, capital program that lists transportation projects to be undertaken in Orange County over a five year timeframe. These projects can include, highway, bridge, bikeway, pedestrian, and transit projects. The individual project listings identify the project schedule, scope, and costs, as well as the federal, State, and local fund sources.

The Air Quality Conformity Determination for PM2.5 fine particulate matter is a requirement as Orange County is in a designated non-attainment area for PM2.5, which is shared with the New York Metropolitan Area. The intent of Air Quality Conformity relating to the TIP is to ensure that projects on the draft FFY 2017-2021 TIP will not cause any new violations, increase the frequency or severity of violations, or delay timely attainment of the PM2.5 standard.

There will be a public information session held on July 19, 2016 at 10:00am in the Legislative Conference Room, Suite 203, 15 Matthews Street, Goshen, NY. The public is invited to offer comments in person on July 19th or can send written comments, questions, or requests for assistance in accessing the documents to Ashlee Long, Planner, Orange County Planning Department using the contact information below.
