Notice of Upcoming Orange County Comprehensive Plan Workshops
The Orange County Department of Planning, along with the Orange County Planning Board, will host a series of introductory workshops to help develop ideas about of the new Orange County Comprehensive Plan. These meetings are open to the public. The new County Comprehensive Plan will be based on current trends and issues and will summarize progress made on the existing County Comprehensive Plan since its last adoption. The new Plan will be a roadmap for countywide planning, land use, and infrastructure efforts for the next five or more years.
The first of these workshops will be held November 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Orange County Emergency Services Building, Classroom 1, 22 Wells Farm Road, Goshen NY 10924. If you are unable to join us on the 15th, please attend one of the other two workshops: November 21st from 4-6 pm at Mount Saint Mary College, Aquinas Hall Room 163, 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh NY 12550; or November 22nd from 7-9 pm at the Port Jervis Municipal Building, City Council Chambers, 20 Hammond Street, Port Jervis NY 12771.
Each of the three planned workshops will be facilitated by members of the County Planning Board and senior County Planning Department staff. These workshops are free, and certificates of attendance will be provided on request from any municipal planning or zoning officials seeking continuing education credits.
