This board was formed to improve public safety through enhanced communications interoperability (both voice and data) between local, county, state and federal agencies.
The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) of Orange County is intended to promote awareness about hazardous materials and increase the safety of the community.
Orange County Municipal Planning Federation (OCMPF) established in 1974, provides educational programs and information on planning, zoning, land use and related topics.
The three main products of this work are the Unified Planning Work Program (annual), Long Range Transportation Plan (every four years) and the Transportation Improvement Program (every two years).
The Orange County Planning Board advises OCDP staff on major planning studies and initiatives, including the update of the Orange Comprehensive Plan Strategies for Quality Communities, the OC Open space Plan, the OC Design Guide and OC Housing Needs Study.
This board works to furnish police guidance in the operation of any county narcotics enforcement / criminal intelligence task force and other joint countywide police operations which hereafter may be created or undertaken.
The Board works to foster cooperation and partnerships between all involved individuals and agencies representing law enforcement, education, prevention, and community members.
