How Does it Work ?

The District Attorney’s Office is asking residents and businesses across the county to register their cameras with our agency.  As Orange County Law Enforcement agencies respond to criminal incidents, we may be able to use the information or footage gathered from security cameras to assist in the apprehension and prosecution of the criminals involved

The District Attorney's new Community Video Partnership Program works on a voluntary basis with property owners who have private security systems that record public areas such as streets, sidewalks, and parking lots.

Police who respond to burglaries, assaults and other crimes will be able to see a map of nearby locations with cameras so they can quickly contact registered video partners that may have captured footage related to the incident that they are investigating.
