Examples of benefits and programs that the Office does not provide directly but that staff can link eligible people to are as follows:

  • Friendly Visitor Program

  • Medicaid
  • Medicare
  • Peace of Mind
  • Respite
  • Senior and Subsidized Housing 
  • Shopping Assistance
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Telephone Reassurance
  • Transportation
  • Other Benefits, Entitlements and Programs

Title VI

In compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and New York State Executive Order, no persons will be denied services for access to service based upon race, creed, color, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation or handicapping condition.

Funding

Many of the services discussed are funded in part by the Administration on Aging, New York State Office for the Aging and the County of Orange. There is a suggested contribution for each service provided by the Office for the Aging. Funds are used to expand the program.
