Renewing your license and / or registration at one of the Orange County Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Offices keeps 12.7% of the money here in Orange County! So...stop by or mail your transactions to one of our four convenient locations:
Real ID / Enhanced - Licenses, Permits, NDID’s
After October 1, 2020, only the Enhanced or REAL ID will be accepted to get on a domestic flight, enter certain federal buildings or military bases (unless you have a Passport). If you plan to travel, we recommend you upgrade before 2020.
Additional Documents are required to upgrade and in some cases, verification is required from Albany. Please visit dmv.ny.gov to find your proofs.
Available Monday-Friday, at Goshen, Middletown, Newburgh Offices from 9am to 4pm and Port Jervis from 9-11am and 2-4pm.
All Orange County DMV offices handle enforcement transactions for conditional or restricted licenses.
The hours for enforcement transactions in Goshen, Newburgh and Middletown are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Port Jervis hours are 11 a.m. to Noon, and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Can be handled at all four Orange County Motor Vehicle Departments from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
