The Beaver Dam Lake District operates and maintains automated systems that monitor and record weather and lake related environmental parameters on a real time basis. District volunteers also manually collect and process lake water samples for laboratory analysis through the Citizen's Statewide Lake Assessment Program (CSLAP). The data compiled helps us to understand the health of our lake as well as the relationship between water quality, weather conditions, lake water temperature, lake water level and other environmental factors which are useful in managing water quality, algae, aquatic weeds and water treatment.
