In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, New York State has enacted measures to ensure that workers have job protection and financial compensation if they or their minor dependent child are subject to isolation due to COVID-19.
The New York State Department of Labor mandates certain employers to provide job-protected, paid sick leave for employees under isolation due to COVID-19. The duration of paid leave, which can be 5 to 14 days, is determined by the employer's size and net annual income.
