The Board of Elections is charged with the responsibility of overseeing that all election related activities are executed in accordance with the New York State election law as interpreted by the Orange County Commissioners of Elections and the New York State Board of Elections.

The Community Advisory Board is made up of community leaders and representatives who provide the District Attorney with advice on how a community prosecution program might work in Orange County.
It is the duty of the Fire Advisory Board to cooperate with the Office of Fire Prevention & Control in the Department of State in relation to such programs for fire training, fire service related activities and mutual aid; to act as an advisory body to the County Legislature and to the Deputy Commissioner of Fire Services and more.
