The Orange County Planning Department Grants Unit works with County Departments to secure competitive funding from federal, state, and private foundation sources for new programs and services that will benefit Orange County residents. The Grants Unit works across a broad spectrum of subjects and disciplines to identify opportunities and encourage collaboration between county departments, municipal partners and non-governmental organizations for projects and services identified as county priorities.

The Grants Unit develops competitive applications, provides post-award grant oversight through quarterly tracking, solves programmatic and fiscal issues with state/federal agencies, and supplies technical assistance and guidance to departments and outside agencies.  The Unit does not distribute grant funding.
