Responsibilities
The Public Health Nursing Division includes skilled nurses and support staff who provide services to prevent and control communicable and chronic disease.

Communicable Disease
The Health Department monitors the incidence of, and responds to cases of, communicable disease in Orange County. The goal of these efforts is to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Immunization Clinics
Immunization clinics to prevent communicable diseases are offered year round for adults and uninsured children in Health Department offices in Middletown, Newburgh, and Goshen.

Sexual Health & HIV Clinics
No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome. Parental Permission is not required for minors.

Tuberculosis (TB) Clinics
Tuberculosis skin testing clinics are walk-in clinics (no appointment required) held twice a month in Newburgh and Middletown.
