History

The Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation shares a tradition of providing quality health care that is more than a century old. Over the years, Valley View has served as a home to thousands of men and women who helped to homestead Orange County and build the foundation of what it is today.

Since our founding in 1831, we have continued to evolve, grow and expand our capabilities. What began as the County's "Poorhouse" transitioned to "Orange Farm" then was known as the "County Infirmary" until our facility evolved to what it is known as today, Valley View.

Today's Valley View is now one of the largest and most comprehensive health care resources in the Hudson Valley region.
