Obligations reporting for Orange County Transportation Council (OCTC) necessarily follows a structure which is used by OCTC within the TIP for listing projects that are programmed to be undertaken with federal funds. Read the Obligations Reporting General Information (PDF).
There are five sections of the OCTC TIP, primarily structured by agency, as follows:
As the TIP is separated agency by agency, the obligations reports are similarly separated with some slight differences as noted below:
Please note that no obligations report is presented from the New York State Bridge Authority (NYSBA) as no federal funds have been programmed for NYSBA projects. Please note also that while the TIP shows funding from all sources for surface transportation projects included in the TIP, the obligation report is specific to federally-aided projects.
Therefore, projects which may be on the TIP but which are undertaken without federal funds will not be reported here.
Obligation reports are organized on an annual basis by Federal fiscal year (which runs from October 1st to September 30th of the following year).
The tables posted on this web page show advanced construction funding amounts in addition to federal obligation amounts because for practical purposes both represent federal funds that have been set aside for projects that cannot be spent elsewhere.
