[ARCHIVED] Orange County Board of Elections reminds residents about important 2020 voting dates and deadlines

Goshen, N.Y. - The Commissioners of Elections would like to remind voters that Election Day is on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 and poll sites throughout the County will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Orange County will be participating in Early Voting for the 2020 General Election.  Voters will have the ability to exercise their right to vote during a nine-day period before Election Day at any of the seven locations throughout the County. The following sites will be open to process any registered voter in Orange County: 

  • City of Newburgh Activity Center, 401 Washington Street.
  • Cornwall Ambulance Building, 1 Clinton Street.
  • Middletown Senior Center, 62-70 West Main Street.
  • Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway.
  • Village of Montgomery Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street.
  • Delaware Engine Company #2, 22 Hammond Street, Port Jervis.
  • Monroe Town Hall, 1465 Orange Turnpike.

Early Voting will be conducted daily at the seven locations during the following dates and times:

Saturday, October 24th: Noon to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 25th: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Monday, October 26th: Noon to 8:00 p.m.

Tuesday, October 27th: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 28th: Noon to 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 29th:  7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Friday, October 30th: Noon to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, October 31st: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 1st: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Please note that the last day to register to vote is Friday, October 9th, 2020. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail is Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 and the deadline to apply for an absentee ballot in person at the Board of Elections is Monday, November 2nd, 2020. 

The last day to return and postmark the ballot to the Board of Elections is Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020.
