Goshen, N.Y. - The Friends of the Orange County Arboretum have announced that they will host “Feeding Backyard Birds for Children” from 1 to 2 p.m. on January 27th in the Kosuga Greenhouse classroom at the Arboretum.
Children will learn about the different types of birds that live in their backyards and how to make simple bird feeders to attract them. Volunteers will help children make bird feeders with pine cones and a nutritious mixture including peanut butter, shortening and birdseed.
Participants can take home their creation to hang in their yard and help our feathered friends through this tuff winter. The class is $5 per child and advanced registration is required. For more information or to reserve a seat, please call 615-3828.
