[ARCHIVED] County Departments continue to move into new Government Center

Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus announced that County departments continue to relocate to the Government Center.

Orange County’s Department of Human Resources is scheduled to move from its office on 30 Matthews Street in Goshen to the new Government Center at 255 Main Street on February 1st and Finance will be open for business in the new facility on February 7th.

“We are pleased that services are being restored at the Government Center,” Neuhaus said. “Having multiple County departments together in one building will be a convenience to residents and will also ease operations and increase productivity.”

The following County departments have already located to the Government Center: Budget, Consumer Affairs/Weights and Measures, County Attorney, County Executive, District Attorney, Human Rights, Legislature and General Services and Information Technology. The County’s Real Property Department is scheduled to relocate from 124 Main Street to 255 Main Street in mid-February. The County Clerk’s Office and the Department of Motor Vehicles are scheduled to move to the Government Center in mid-March.
