[ARCHIVED] Notice of Transportation Funding Opportunity - TAP/CMAQ

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is making available up to $110 million in funding over a two-year period to support bicycle, pedestrian, multi-use path and transportation related projects and programs that support the goals of New York’s nation-leading Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.  Administered by the NYSDOT, these funds are made available to the State through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ). Orange County is not eligible for CMAQ funding.

Applications for funding may be developed by any municipality or non-profit incorporated group, but projects must be sponsored either by a municipality, a state agency, or public authority eligible to administer federal TAP and CMAQ transportation funds. For additional information on eligible project activities and other program requirements refer to the 2021 TAP-CMAQ Guidebook.

Final applications are due by 5:00PM on September 29, 2021, via the State’s Grants Gateway.  Application pre-review requests are due by August 17, 2021.  Eligible Sponsors must attend a current TAP-CMAQ Informational Workshop.  Workshop schedules and other related information are listed on NYSDOT’s website at: https://www.dot.ny.gov/TAP-CMAQ

Comments and questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to the NYSDOT Region 8 Regional Local Project Liaison, Orietta Trocard, at Orietta.Trocard@dot.ny.gov or 845.437.3386.
