On October 11, 2022 the Orange County Transportation Council (OCTC) Policy Board will take action regarding the Draft Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), the TIP Narrative, and the Draft Air Quality/Transportation Conformity Determination. The OCTC invites the public to review the documents and submit public comments during the 30-day public comment period, beginning Thursday, September 8, 2022 and running through Friday, October 7, 2022. The documents are posted on the OCTC website, linked within this public notice, and a printed hard copy of the documents are available to view at the Orange County Planning Department at 124 Main Street, Goshen, NY.

The Orange County Transportation Council (OCTC) TIP is a multi-modal, capital program that lists transportation projects to be undertaken in Orange County over a five-year timeframe. These projects are funded with Federal Highway or Federal Transit funds and can be used for various highway, bridge, bikeway, pedestrian, transit, and transportation projects. The TIP is usually updated every 2-3 years. For more information on the TIP, visit the OCTC website or the OCTC ArcHUB page at  https://orange-county-transportation-council-ocnygis.hub.arcgis.com/. OCTC is also required to conform to the air quality/transportation conformity regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA requires conformity in air quality non-attainment and maintenance areas whenever transportation projects that may significantly impact air quality are planned and programmed.
