Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Clerk Kelly Eskew has announced that some of her office’s oldest documents are now accessible to residents.
The information is available to historians and genealogists through the County Clerk’s webpage at www.orangecountygov.com under the tab Historic Documents and Resources.
Some of the historic documents and resources found on the new web page include links to the County’s oldest deeds and mortgages on record, forfeited lands from the Revolutionary War, and Naturalization Index from 1802-1991.
“I am honored to be able to assist County residents in accessing important documents that go back to our country’s origin,” Eskew said. “We look forward to adding more documents and information to the website and will continue to update our documents and records.”
