[ARCHIVED] U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline 2023 New York Air Show

Goshen, N.Y. - Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus has announced that the U.S. Navy Blue Angels jet demonstration squadron will headline the 2023 New York Air Show on June 24-25 at Orange County Airport in Montgomery.

“The Blue Angels are world-renowned and we are ecstatic that they are returning to perform in Orange County,” Neuhaus said. “The County and its partners look forward to another terrific air show this summer and we look forward to hosting it for residents and visitors to enjoy.” 

The Blue Angels’ mission is to display the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach. Since 1946, the Blue Angels have performed for nearly 450 million fans worldwide.

Lt. Griffin Stangel and Lt. Katlin Forster, better known as Blue Angels #7 and #8, respectively, will be visiting Orange County, on Thursday, December 1, in preparation for the 2023 New York Air Show. Considered the team’s winter visit, Lt. Stangel and Lt. Forster will be arriving in a Blue Angels yellow and blue F/A-18 Super Hornet at 4 p.m. at Atlantic Aviation – New York Stewart International Airport (1032 1st Street, New Windsor, NY, 125537) and will meet with the media shortly thereafter.
