[ARCHIVED] Neuhaus presents Alayne Eisloeffel with January’s Citizen of the Month Award

Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus has named Alayne Eisloeffel as January’s Citizen of the Month Award recipient.

Eisloeffel, of Circleville, was recognized for her work with the Tri-County Prevention Coalition and with youth in the Wallkill East Rotary Club. She was nominated for the Citizen of the Month Award by Orange County Legislator Rob Sassi.

“Alayne cares deeply about the youth of Orange County and that is evident in all of her passionate work,” Neuhaus said. “Through her volunteerism, she has had a positive impact on hundreds of young men and women, and their families. Alayne’s hard work and thoughtfulness is appreciated by many, and I am glad to recognize her as Citizen of the Month.”

Eisloeffel is the interim director/program coordinator with the Tri-County Prevention Coalition, a non-profit organization about the risks of alcohol and drug use through prevention, youth prevention, family support and drug dependency reduction programs. Eisloeffel represents the Tri-County Prevention Coalition at a variety of functions and also serves as the chairperson of the Wallkill East Rotary Club’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

RYLA is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs where students develop professional skills as a leader while making connections in a variety of venues. Eisloeffel is also the liaison to the Crispell Middle School’s Interact Club, working with service-minded students who volunteer with a variety of service and community organizations. She is also a board member with the Pine Bush Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Volunteering is in my heart, and I love working with children. That is my passion,” Eisloeffel said. “If given a chance, I really believe our kids can change the world. They can accomplish great things and I am proud to have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful children in the community.”

Eisloeffel lives in Circleville with her husband, Henry III. The couple have three children, Heather, 39, and twins Henry IV and Nicholas, who are 27.

Neuhaus introduced his Citizen of the Month Award, which acknowledges outstanding Orange County residents, in January of 2017.
