Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Veterans Service Agency Director Christian Farrell hosted a free showing for veterans of the movie “The Covenant” on Wednesday, May 17th at Flagship Premium Cinemas in Monroe.

The County coordinated the event with Flagship Premium Cinemas, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc., Town of Monroe Supervisor Tony Cardone, and the Monroe Town Board.

“I am glad that we were able to provide our veterans with a fun afternoon at the theater,” Neuhaus said. “I want to thank the generous organizations who have helped make these movies happen over the past few years. These screenings have become popular and I enjoyed spending some time with Orange County’s veterans.”

The Covenant, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, is about a former U.S. Army sergeant and Afghanistan War veteran, who returns to the country to rescue the interpreter who once saved his life from the Taliban.
