[ARCHIVED] Commissioners of Elections reminds voters that Election Day is on Tuesday, November 7th

Goshen, N.Y. - The Commissioners of Elections would like to inform voters that Election Day will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 and poll sites throughout the County will be open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.  

Orange County will be participating in Early Voting for the 2023 General Election. Voters will have the ability to exercise their right to vote during a nine-day period before Election Day at any of the eight locations throughout the County.  The following sites will be open to process any registered voter in Orange County:  City of Newburgh Activity Center, 401 Washington Street in the City of Newburgh, Middletown Senior Center, 62-70 West Main Street in the City of Middletown, Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway in Warwick, Village of Montgomery Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street in Montgomery, City Hall, 20 Hammond Street in the City of Port Jervis, Monroe Town Hall, 1465 Orange Turnpike in Monroe, Town of Goshen, former Caroline Building, 23 Hatfield Lane, Goshen, and in New Windsor Community Center, 555 Union Avenue in the Town of New Windsor.

Early Voting will be conducted daily at the eight locations during the following dates and times: Saturday, October 28 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 30, from 7 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, from Noon – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, from Noon – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

Dates to remember for the General Election: The last day to register to vote is Saturday, October 28, 2023. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail was Monday, October 23, 2023, and the deadline to apply for an absentee ballot in person at the Board of Elections is Monday, November 6, 2023. The last day to return and postmark the ballot to the Board of Elections is Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

 The Board of Elections will have extended hours for Absentee Balloting on the following dates and times:

 Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29, 2023    9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday – October 31, 2023                                     9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday – November 1, 2023                               9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, November 4 & Sunday, November 5, 2023  9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
