[ARCHIVED] Annual Orange County Veterans Spring Picnic and Resource Fair set for May 5th

Orange County Seal

Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Veterans Service Agency Director Christian Farrell are pleased to invite veterans, active-duty military, members of the Guard and Reserve, and their family members to the 2018 Orange County Veterans Spring Picnic and Resource Fair on Saturday, May 5th.

“This picnic shows the County’s veterans the respect and appreciation of a grateful community,” Neuhaus said. “I look forward to spending time with these brave men and women, and their families. It will be another great picnic and a good opportunity for veterans to relax and spend some time together.”

All veterans and military personnel and their families are invited to relax and enjoy the free picnic-style barbecue and to take advantage of helpful information regarding a wide variety of veterans issues from participating government agencies and support groups.

The picnic, hosted by the County Executive’s Office and the Veterans Service Agency will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Route 416, Hamptonburgh, in the Day Camp Pavilion.

“We’re hoping veterans of all eras come to our annual picnic and resource fair for some delicious food and to learn about what services and benefits are available to them,” Farrell said. “I’m looking forward to a great day, which belongs to the veterans and their families. This event makes one proud to have served their country.”
