Goshen, N.Y. – The Orange County Legislature unanimously confirmed Harry Porr as Deputy County Executive on Thursday, September 6th.

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus appointed Porr as Deputy County Executive on August 20th of this year. He previously served as the County’s Director of Operations for more than four years. Prior to that, Porr worked as the Village Administrator of Bronxville in Westchester County.

During his career, Porr also worked as City Manager of Newburgh and in the administration of former County Executive Louis Heimbach.

“Harry has played an important role in my administration since he arrived in 2014 and this promotion is well deserved,” Neuhaus said. “Harry is well-liked and respected by his peers, and has a track record of accomplishing things in an efficient manner. He fulfills his duties with professionalism and is always a pleasure to work with. We appreciate the support of the Legislature and I know that Harry will continue to work with them effectively for our residents.”
