[ARCHIVED] Orange County to host free Summer Concert Series at Algonquin and Thomas Bull Memorial Parks

Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Conservation James Brooks announced on Wednesday that Algonquin Park in the Town of Newburgh and Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Campbell Hall will host a free Orange County Summer Concert Series, featuring some of the top bands in the Hudson Valley.

“We are excited about the Orange County Summer Concert Series, which will feature a diverse group of performers,” Neuhaus said. “The concerts will also showcase two of our beautiful County parks. I encourage residents to come out and enjoy some great live music. We are looking forward to these family-friendly and entertaining events.”

Eight separate shows will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays starting on June 29th. The tentative lineup will include:

June 29: Evan Teatum and Friends, Algonquin Park

July 6: Xcalibur Band, Thomas Bull Memorial Park

July 13: Leo and the Lizards, Thomas Bull Memorial Park

July 20: The Barrelhouse Blues Band, Algonquin Park

August 3: hUShh, Algonquin Park

August 10: Bad Hat Jazz, Thomas Bull Memorial Park

August 17: Shelton Taylor, Algonquin Park

August 24: Hurley Mountain Highway, Thomas Bull Memorial Park

The concerts will be held in the covered park pavilions with seating available. Guests sitting outside of the pavilions are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concerts will be held rain or shine. Food and beverage vendors and an ice cream truck will be on site for each show.

Guests are welcome to stay and watch a free, family-oriented outdoor movie courtesy of the Orange County Parks’ Summer Family Film Fest after the concerts on August 10th and August 24th at Thomas Bull Memorial Park.
