Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus released the following statement after the United States Military Academy at West Point’s announcement that one cadet was killed and 20 cadets and two soldiers were injured when a light medium tactical vehicle was in a roll-over accident at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones of the cadet who perished and to all those who were injured in the training accident at West Point this morning,” Neuhaus said. “My office has been in contact with West Point and we pledge our support to the Academy, which is part of the fabric of our community. West Point cadets represent the best and brightest young men and women in the country, and Orange County grieves with the Academy during this tragic time.”
