Orange County mourns the loss of Public Health Technician Tom Walter

Goshen, N.Y. – Tom Walter, a Public Health Technician with the County’s Health Department, tragically died in a one-car accident in the Town of Goshen on Wednesday, February 5th.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. Route 17A near Durland Road. Walter, 28, a Warwick resident, had worked for the County since 2017.

“We are all deeply saddened by Tom’s passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his family,” Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus said. “Today’s tragic accident shocked our community. Tom was a valued County employee and we mourn his passing.”
