VIRTUAL Naloxone Training - NY State OASAS Naloxone Training - May 11, 2020 2:30 PM - Orange County DSS and Community of Orange County
Live online opioid overdose rescue training from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). We are pleased to bring this opportunity to you during the New York State COVID-19 Pause as an alternative to in-person trainings. We will be ready to resume in-person training events in your community as soon as the pause is over, so please consider contacting us to host one or more if you are in a position to do so. A brochure describing the program is attached.
Please register in advance for this training by clicking here. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions to join the meeting at its appointed time and date.
To join the meeting, please use an internet-connected device so that you can view the internet and the slide presentation. You can connect to the audio either on your computer/tablet, or by using a phone. See instructions provided when you join the training, or you can view the link below for first-time users. We have found it helpful for participants to join the meeting a couple of minutes early as the program will begin promptly at its designated time. All participants will be muted during the program. Questions can be asked via the chat feature, and will be answered at the end of the program if they have not been addressed as part of the presentation. Several handouts containing important information for this class are attached, and you may wish to familiarize yourself with these prior to joining the meeting.
Participants can click here to view guidance for first-time WebEx users.
IMPORTANT: At the end of the training, you will be directed automatically to a web form required for us to send you your certification card and to work with you to obtain a naloxone rescue kit. Please click here if you are unable to access the form when the training ends.
