To all Orange County members

The COVID-19 pandemic is creating an unprecedented rise in mental health and substance use issues, leaving many of us asking how we can better support our friends and loved ones.

NAMI Orange will offer Virtual Youth Mental Health First Aid in our area to give people the resources they need to answer those questions. Please see the attached press release for more details.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an international, evidence-based program that teaches people to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges.

I hope you’re able to attend this timely course that NAMI Orange County, NY is offering to our community. You’re also welcome to participate in the course, which may help you gain a broader understanding of the mental health crisis we face and how our agency is responding. I’m a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and I’m teaching a course virtually on December 10, 2021 at 10 am - 3 pm still have some seats open and would love to have you in the course.  Email me and I will sign you up.
