VoicesUnited4Change (VU4C) is a small non-profit organization made up of families and young adults who are passionate about advocating for children's mental health! All of our adult members have experienced the heartache and joy that comes from having a child with social, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and all of our young adults have experienced mental illness first hand and are fantastic testaments to resiliency. Together we tirelessly work to support and advocate for families and youth in our community.
Some of our efforts in Orange County have included: providing free peer-to-peer support groups for families and youth, providing Youth Mental Health First Aid and Family RoadMap trainings, one-to-one supports for parents/caregivers, and serving as a voice for youth and families in our mental health system.
As a Non-Profit Organization, we achieve our goals with the assistance of generous donations from members of our community, like you. Without these donations, serving families in our area would be impossible. We are writing to ask you to consider a donation to our cause.
On May 6th, 2023, we are holding our Children’s Mental Health Awareness 5K Walk, at Algonquin Park in the Town of Newburgh. This year we will also be having a Tricky Tray, crafts, and other fun activities for the kids. Would you be willing to help us achieve our fundraising goals by donating a basket for our Tricky Tray? We would also love to have you join us at the Walk.
We greatly appreciate any support you can offer. For every donation, please complete the In-Kind Donation form. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Rebekah Umar-Bashar, Media Specialist, at 845-421-6662.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
