    This workshop focuses on presenting and practicing brief therapeutic interventions that clients can be taught, either in group or individually, to keep them on track with their recovery. Beneficial lifestyle changes will be reviewed to demonstrate how they can be integrated into one’s daily routine to support ongoing wellness and physical/emotional well being.

  2. DLA-20: Alcohol and Drug Assessment Tool

    Anyone in Orange County who has been trained in the current DLA-20 Mental Health Assessment Tool is invited to attend the two hour session on the DLA-20 Alcohol and Drug Assessment Tool on January 30th. The tool is a modified version of the original tool and appropriate for those working with clients that have a primary Substance Use Disorder diagnosis or have both a Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorder diagnosis.

  3. Trauma Institute - Addressing the Complexity of Needs of Older Adults: Best Practices for Accessing Community Resources

    January 31, 2019, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    The presentation will provide an overview of the prevalence of behavioral health needs in older adults as well as the impact of adverse childhood experiences on long term health and behavioral health outcomes. Participants will learn the about how Orange County’s WELCOME Orange Continuous Comprehensive Integrated System of Care model provides a framework for welcoming older adults into a behavioral health system they may not have experienced before. Participants will learn best practices for outreach, engagement and connection to community resources for older adults.
