    The DLA-20 is a nationally promoted Functional Assessment Tool that is quickly administered to examine 20 areas of Daily Functioning and create a reliable Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF) Score.

    As part of our ongoing commitment to improve the communication and planning process for children and families in need of behavioral health services who are involved in the child welfare system, the DLA-20 is being implemented and expanded as a tool to assist clinicians, child welfare staff, Family Court and court stakeholders.

  3. Trauma Institute - Checking Your Vitals: Identifying & Treating Secondary Trauma

    This workshop will discuss the types of traumatic experiences most likely to cause difficulties for health care providers. These include exposure to violence, mass violence, multiple or atypical losses, or simply the failure of treatments to work for particular groups. The workshop will discuss the interaction between personal and historical factors and the nature of stress experienced, as well as the physical, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive symptoms of vicarious trauma reactions in professionals. We will explore how aspects of the healthcare environment may amplify the effects of traumatization or make it difficult for individuals suffering from empathic fatigue to resolve their issues.
