  2. Trauma Institute: 8th Annual Trauma Conference - "Essential Client Skills for Common Problems in Therapy"

    Many therapists have attended trainings on how to run Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills groups, but struggle with effective ways to use skills in individual therapy. This full-day training will introduce mindfulness, the core skill in DBT. Then, advanced skills for special problems will be described and modeled. Participants will leave with specific advanced skills for use in individual therapy context. Advanced skills that will be covered ill include skills for anger, anxiety, loneliness, nightmares, and recovery from substance abuse.
